Summer 2025 is off to a cracking start at Academic Summer! Discover how our students are experiencing London’s iconic landmarks, exceptional learning venues and unforgettable adventures.

After a successful manager training day at Heathrow Airport on Saturday 14th June, our energetic team were ready for this year’s intake of students. It was also an opportunity to celebrate the team’s success in the recent Theirworld Your Walk, with everyone wearing their T-shirts. (See Academic Summer team steps up for education.)

Sunday, 27th June, saw the excitement building at the Heathrow Hilton as students eagerly awaited their transfers to two of our London locations, DLD College and David Game College. Our CEO, Helen Lami was at the airport to personally welcome the students and it was fantastic to see the anticipation and enthusiasm as coaches arrived, marking the start of an unforgettable Academic Summer experience.

It’s always a pleasure for us to welcome a mix of ages at our Summer Camps – Adventurers (7-12), Explorers (12-14) and Engagers (15-17), across three amazing venues:
Academic Summer 2025 in the city
Our academic manager, Dr Gierdre Balcytyte, and her dedicated colleague Nikita are leading the charge at David Game College, combining innovative teaching methods and a dynamic learning environment. With state-of-the-art classrooms and fully equipped science labs, students at David Game are set for an inspiring summer of discovery and personal growth.
DLD College London
Nora and Anastasia are at DLD College in central London where our students are surrounded by iconic landmarks like the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace all within walking distance. Everything’s under one roof at DLD, providing maximum safety as students experience London’s vibrant cultural scene from their modern, purpose-built accommodation.

The students have already been on some incredible sightseeing. Visits to the legendary Tower Bridge and the historic Tower of London captivated imaginations and provided exciting learning opportunities. And as a special treat some of our Adventurers even got to meet the King and Queen and Prince and Princess of Wales, albeit at the world-famous Madame Tussauds!

Our younger children seem to think that traveling on the tube is pretty cool. Such simple joys highlight the magic of exploring one of the world’s most exciting cities.
And, of course it’s not all just fun, it’s an ongoing learning experience both in and out of the classroom.

Academic Summer in the country – Sidcot School
We’re also excited about the start of our camp at Sidcot School near Bristol on Sunday, 6th July. Students attending Sidcot will enjoy a programme that perfectly blends countryside adventures with rigorous academics. Caroline and Turi will be on hand to oversee the camp along with a team of camp counsellors.
Summer 2025 is already shaping up to be an amazing adventure at Academic Summer, full of inspiring educational experiences, lifelong friendships and unique opportunities. Stay tuned to see what our students discover next!
