Academic Summer 2025 Unveiled

Academic Summer recently hosted Academic Summer 2025 Unveiled, a webinar for our agents, showcasing our latest programmes and educational innovations. Led by Helen Lami, CEO of Academic Summer, and featuring guest speakers Yonca Kurt, CEO of Tech Study UK, and Vitalii Bresler, CEO of British Camp, the event provided insights into how we are preparing students for the future.

Preparing students for a world of constant change

“We are excited to share how Academic Summer is evolving to meet the needs of students,” said Helen Lami. “In a world of constant change, our mission is clear – we want to empower students through adventure and learning, equipping them with the skills, confidence and mindset to shape their futures.”

Helen highlighted the rapid changes in education and employment, noting that 65% of children in school today will work in jobs that don’t yet exist. She stressed the importance of adaptability, critical thinking and leadership in preparing students for success. Education should prepare students for life, not just exams. Our goal is to help them develop resilience, creativity and leadership skills that will shape their future.”

New for 2025 – Football & Leadership Camp

Vitalii Bresler, CEO of British Camp, introduced the Football & Leadership Camp, a new programme in collaboration with Academic Summer.

“Football is my personal passion, and that’s one of the main reasons we created this programme,” he said. “But beyond that, football and leadership both develop discipline, teamwork and confidence – skills that are essential for teenagers and will help them in their careers and personal lives.”

Vitalii explained that the Academic Summer Football and Leadership camp will provide professional coaching with FA-qualified instructors, ensuring students of all skill levels can develop their sporting techniques. The leadership aspect of the programme will teach students strategic thinking, communication and resilience, helping them grow both on and off the pitch.

Get Ready for Robotics & Coding – Tech Study UK

Yonca Kurt, CEO of Tech Study UK, introduced the  Robotics and Coding Summer Camp, designed to help students explore coding, robotics and AI through hands-on, project-based learning.

“We all know tech education is now as important as learning English, everyone needs to understand coding and algorithms. But the key is to make students love it,” Yonca said. “When they see their code turn into real actions, like controlling a robot or a circuit, they get so excited.”

Yonca emphasised that the camp requires no prior coding knowledge and will give students real-world experience with robotics, programming and AI problem-solving.

The Role of AI and Digital Responsibility

Helen Lami addressed the rise of AI in education and the workforce, reinforcing the need for students to develop human skills that AI cannot replace. “AI can analyse data, but it cannot think critically, innovate or lead. That’s why Academic Summer focuses on developing students’ creativity, leadership and problem-solving skills alongside their academic learning.”

Helen also highlighted Academic Summer’s approach to digital responsibility, ensuring students learn safe and effective use of technology rather than banning it outright. See her article, Mobile phones in the classroom – to ban or not to ban
