Academic Summer brings fresh focus to summer school opportunities for Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Academic Summer’s Sales & Marketing Manager, Anastasiia Babak, is bringing renewed focus to summer school opportunities for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, following her expanded remit overseeing these key markets.

With extensive experience in international education and a deep understanding of both family expectations and agent partnerships, Anastasiia will now lead engagement across the region, ensuring consistent support for students considering UK and Canada summer programmes.

Following the departure of Francisco Bustros, Anastasiia Babak, who is based in Canada, has stepped into the expanded role of strengthening Academic Summer’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia market support. This move reflects Academic Summer’s ongoing commitment to serving international families and education partners with clear communication, trusted guidance and high quality summer school options in the UK and Canada.

Anastasiia brings a strong background in international education and tourism and has worked with Academic Summer for two years. A former education travel agent, she is known for her calm, practical approach and ability to support families through the full journey, from choosing the right programme to preparing for travel and arrival.

“Parents want two things above all,” says Anastasiia. “They want to know their child will be safe and they want to know the UK summer school experience will genuinely help them grow. When those basics are done well, everything else becomes possible.”

Supporting families and agents with clarity and care

Academic Summer and Living Learning English welcomes students from a wide range of countries each summer. This includes providing various summer school opportunities for Eastern Europe and Central Asia who continue to value the UK for its educational heritage, boarding school culture and the chance to study and socialise in English.

In her increased remit, Anastasiia will focus on strengthening relationships with education agents, supporting parent enquiries and helping students find programmes aligned with their goals, whether that is improving English, exploring academic subjects or preparing for future studies.

“English opens doors,” she explains. “It gives young people confidence, broader perspectives and access to the world. A summer school experience in the UK can be a turning point because students do not just study English, they live it every day.”

Anastasiia is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in arranging travel to the UK for education purposes. She is also multilingual which helps her to communicate smoothly with families and partners across multiple countries. This is especially helpful at the decision-making stage, when agents and parents may want to ask detailed questions and feel fully confident about safeguarding, accommodation, travel logistics and day-to-day support.

Summer school opportunities for Eastern Europe and Central Asia

Academic Summer has long been recognised for delivering a premium summer school experience, hosted on outstanding school and college campuses. These include two camps based in London, one at the prestigious David Game College and the other at DLD College in Westminster. They also have a camp in the English countryside at Sidcot School. This camp also features a football option.

Academic Summer’s programmes are designed to build academic confidence and independence, while offering a full cultural and social experience through excursions, sports and evening activities. Anastasiia believes this balance is exactly what many families are looking for. “Families are not only choosing a course,” she says. “They are choosing an environment. They want their children to come home more independent, more open-minded and more confident in English.”

In addition to promoting summer school opportunities for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Anastasiia can also guide parents exploring one-to-one homestay tuition through Living Learning English. This personalised option allows students, or even a parent and child together, to live and study in a teacher’s home, combining full language immersion with tailored lessons. It can be taken as a standalone experience or as a carefully planned add-on to a UK summer camp, offering families greater flexibility and academic depth.

Based in Niagra Falls, Ontario, Anastasiia also supports enquiries for Academic Summer’s Canadian camp at Rothesay Netherwood School (RNS) in New Brunswick, ensuring families receive consistent, knowledgeable guidance whether they choose the UK or Canada.
