Academic Summer is pleased to return to the Theirworld Your Walk this year. Help us raise funds this June to support children in conflict zones with their education.
Theirworld Charity is once again calling on individuals and organisations to step up, literally, in support of children affected by conflict and the Academic Summer team is pleased to lace up our trainers and join Your Walk 2025, aiming to raise vital funds to help students in countries where learning is difficult.

In this year’s challenge, Theirworld encourages individuals to walk 300,000 steps throughout June, while organisations are invited to go even bigger. Our team, led by CEO Helen Lami, is aiming for 4 million steps collectively and to raise £1,000.
Theirworld Chair, Sarah Brown outlined the Your Walk 2025 challenge in a Facebook post. “We’re back to launch Theirword Your Walk 2025! This year we are supporting children in conflict in countries like Ukraine, Lebanon, Gaza and Uganda. We’re helping them with learning during the most difficult times of their lives. Join us on this challenge this June.”
According to the Theirworld website one in six children live in a conflict zone and over 75 million have had their education disrupted by war and instability. At Academic Summer, we agree that every child deserves a safe place to learn, free from fear, discrimination and violence.
“Theirworld is a natural partner for us,” says Helen. “They share our passion for global education, and their work directly supports learners in the toughest situations. We’re inviting all our families, students, staff and supporters to help us go the extra mile this June.”
Together, we can help ensure that every child has access to education and a brighter future, no matter where they live. You can help by:
- Spreading the word and encouraging others to get involved
- Sponsoring our team by making a donation on the TheirWord Your Walk Secure Donation Page.
- Joining the walk and challenging yourself!
Let’s make every step count because when we walk together, we can help children keep learning, even in the most difficult circumstances.
